These are great feeders that can be kept in the refrigerator for a couple of months or longer.  To use for smaller spiderlings that are under 1", just cut a piece off and leave in the habitat overnight.  Remove the rest the next day.  Small spiderlings will scavenge and eat off gooey pieces of mealworms. 

You can freeze the remainder of a cut mealworm for the next feeding. 😊
