About: This mid sized arboreal can be found in Trinidad. They dwell in their silken tunnels, woven into crevices in trees and often around epiphytic species of plants. They are noted to catch a wide variety of prey, from small frogs and lizards, to larger insects like grasshoppers. They are good eaters in captivity, and can often be seen hanging out in the open. Like other Psalmopoeus species, they are very fast and have more potent venom than most new world species. They can also be fairly defensive. This is a rewarding and beautiful species to keep!
