About: This species is a favorite in the hobby. They are a large but docile species, perfect for any collection. They are known for their dark colors with gold striped knees, and will often hang out in the open. These spiders will make use of a hide or starter burrow, and if given the depth will create some burrows of its own. The substrate should be kept somewhat dry, and we recommend keeping a full water dish in the enclosure at all times. You can hydrate the area around the water dish, or overflow the dish, to offer a slight water gradient.
