Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Green BottleBlue, GBB Tarantula) about 1" - 1 1/4"

  👀👀 These are colorful eight-legged architects with an orange belly and blue metallic legs. They will excite you during dinner with their cat-like prey-drive. Of course, they are fan favorites, so easy to care for and raise. If you want a gorgeous eye-catching display tarantula that webs heavily and is fairly hands-off, this is one for you.  🕸️🕸️ While it’s best to have a mostly terrestrial habitat, be sure to give your beautiful GBB anchor points to web and give you an eyeful of architectural artistry. This is a species that will appreciate a water dish and mostly dry substrate as adults. 👌👌 For the younger bunch, be sure to moisten a corner or deposit a few drops of water directly on their webbing to prevent dehydration. They also need plenty of ventilation to continue impressing you with their building skills! 🕷️🕷️

Feeding: We are feeding them medium red runner roaches.  They will also eat crickets or mealworms.  They do prefer live food but if your roach or cricket is a bit too large, you can just disable it a bit and offer it to the spiderling.  This species will often take on prey as large as it is.

Housing: We recommend our 24 oz habitat for spiderlings over 1". 

 This highly sought after species is one of my favorites. They are brightly colored, don’t usually hide from you, eat very well and are  very easy to care for. Adult GBBs have a vibrant orange abdomen, metallic blue legs, a blue-green carapace and is covered with orange hairs. It is a great experience to raise one up from a spiderling and watch it change  with each molt.  This is an excellent display tarantula!  They are very low maintenance and a pet you can leave for a couple of weeks with no worries. Feeding time is always fun with these guys as they are aggressive eaters and will wrestle and take down prey with great gusto.
