These spiderlings were hatched out here at Fear Not!
This is the smallest species in the genus, reaching about 2 3/4 - 3". They maintain the same coloration from spiderling to adulthood.
The gentle, docile disposition of this species makes it a favorite. It is also very hardy, easy to care for, and is sought after as a good choice for beginner to advance collectors alike. This heavy-bodied tarantula is covered with tan and golden curly hairs, giving it a charming unkempt look. The “curly hair”, as it is affectionately known, is one of the more active tarantulas, making it interesting to watch as it goes about arranging its home. Many keepers note that this species seem to have more “personality” than many others do.
