Florida scrub millipede (Floridobolus orini) about 1"- 4"



Habitat needs:

Deep substrate, as deep as the millipede is long.  

Ventilation on the top with hardwood pellets.

Can be housed together in groups

Likes to be in temps 72-78

Springtails can be added to help with clean-up, but isopods will compete for their food source.



Primarily forage through the substrate. Add wood in substrate for foraging.

Feed fruits and veggies once or twice a week.  Carrot, zucchini, apples, or cantaloupe once or twice a week.

They will munch on dry fish pellets or dry dog food as well.

Feed dry dog food or fish pellets in a food bowl.  Moisten the pellet to soften with water.

Add crushed egg shell for calcium.

Males have a larger band of segments behind their head than the female. Can sex at about 2”

Babies can be left with adults.

Do not dig them out because they are soft after molting and can be harmed.
